Kristine Five Melvær

Melvær explores textiles as charged materials, carriers of memory, identity, and stories.
Her textile sculptures activate the body’s memory of touch, creating a sensory resonance even without contact.
Textile Vessels reflects on transformation, bringing tradition into the present through experimentation.

Melvær also works across design disciplines, creating tableware, furniture, lighting, and graphic design.

Melvær holds a Master’s degrees in Industrial Design from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and in Visual Communication from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
