Artist and designer driven by a fascination with how objects are made and assembled.
His practice involves experimenting with, modifying, and reworking materials, exploring both their natural and imposed properties.
In recent years, he has focused particularly on the sound-making and sound-shaping qualities of materials.

Ruud is a founding member of the art and craft studio KNEIP, where he creates small-scale everyday objects and sculptures.
In 2022, he co-founded HAKIMAKI with Martin Gautron, developing inventions and set design for the film industry and museums.

Ruud holds a BA in Product Design from Oslo and Akershus University.
