Familien Kvistad

Oslo-based creative duo founded in 2016 by
Astrid Bakke Kvistad and Ziemowit Kvistad.
Working across textile art, interiors, and spatial design, they create tactile works and environments that explore warmth, materiality, and emotional connection. Family life and everyday moments with their two daughters form a natural part of their creative universe.

Their practice focuses on sculptural textiles and hand-tufted wool pieces made from Norwegian wool, where color, texture, and soft forms play a central role.

Moving between art, design, and interior architecture, their practice is rooted in craftsmanship and a desire to create spaces and objects that feel both personal and enduring.
