ABOUT THE ARTIST

Berge is a Norwegian visual artist working primarily with textile, painting, and drawing. Her practice explores our relationship and kinship with nature, with a particular interest in ecology, biodiversity, and the ways human intervention shapes natural environments.

Working with hand-dyed felted wool, Berge creates large-scale textile works using the intarsia technique, cutting and sewing individual pieces together by hand. Her compositions draw from observations of landscapes, plants, and animal life, translating experiences from her life on a small farm into tactile and contemplative works.

She holds an MFA in Medium- and Material-Based Art from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2022).

Her work is represented in the collection of the National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Trondheim.
