MASSIMO LEARDINI (b.1959, ITALY)
Leardini is an Italian photographer based in Norway since 1987. Working primarily in black and white, his photography explores the relationship between the human body, landscape, light, and nature. His images are characterized by a quiet, poetic quality, with a particular sensitivity to form, texture, and the Nordic light.
Leardini often works through long-term collaborations, creating intimate and contemplative bodies of work that explore themes of memory, solitude, and transformation. His photographs have been exhibited internationally and published in numerous books, including Scandinavian, Catarsi, ELV, and Nordmarka.
Alongside his fine-art practice, Leardini has worked extensively in fashion, portraiture, and commercial photography.
He is based in Oslo and has been working professionally as a photographer since the 1980s.
